Have you always wanted to write? Was it early in life or later that the “bug” bit you?
Writing was my first love from an early age, but I got distracted. A few years ago I decided I should stop making excuses and getting sidetracked, and started to write more seriously. I have always been a big fan of romance, as a reader, and I started to look into writing my own romances. The result is my first release “Demon of Desire”
Tell us about your lates/upcoming release? Is it a series? If so, please tell us a little about the series itself.
“Demon of Desire” is an erotic paranormal romance out with Phaze Publishing. It is a Raven themed HeatSheet, which is their Halloween themed imprint. If you guessed there is a demon in it, you would be correct! A sexy, ‘love’ demon. Kind of the ultimate bad boy, the ultimate hero…or is he? You’ll have to read to find out!
He knows exactly how to seduce you, as my heroine finds out…
“You must be ready to face all the desires of your heart…and know which ones are real.”
Sarah heard the costume store owner’s warning, but didn’t heed it. Tonight of all nights was Halloween – a time of magic and make believe. She has an invite to the largest party in Chicago – in a beautiful Renaissance dress reputed to bring her heart’s desire.
Why should she be cautious? After all, where had it gotten her except alone on a Friday night? It certainly hadn’t gotten her a date with her adorable neighbor, Tim. So when she meets a dark, magnetic man in a mask claiming to know her every desire, she surrenders to his seductions…and for the first time engages in a steamy one night stand with a stranger.
Little does Sarah know that her new lover wants more than one night with her. Much more….
Her every pleasure will be indulged…but at what price?
Where can readers find you on the web?
I have a myspace page~ www.myspace.com/chloewaitswriter, and my own website www.chloewaits.com. If someone wants to contact me they can send a message through myspace.
Describe a typical day for you.
My nights and days are turned around at times, because I work shift work as a nurse. (That was one of the things I was doing when I got sidetracked!) I am back at school finishing an English degree, so I am busy balancing work and school. Typically though, I will have some time off I can devote to writing. I find that when I write, I can sit for hours without realizing where the time has gone. It is more challenging trying to fit the writing in right now, but I have learned to make time for what is important to me. I fit the husband in where I can too…lol
Does your family read your books? Do they like/dislike them?
My husband is my biggest fan, which is good since I am constantly waving stories in his face for feedback.
Most authors are readers as well. Is this the case with you and if so, who are some of your favorite authors to enjoy?
There are too many to name, honestly! I remember when I first started to get into erotic romance I had picked up books by JC Wilder, Delilah Devlin and Kimberly Zant. I think they all create very immediate stories, and sexy heroes.
You won a chance to spend a day with any character/author/celebrity of your choice. What would you do and who would you pick?
I had a crush on Patrick Swayze growing up, and was very sad about his recent death. I also thought the long marriage he and his wife Lisa enjoyed was a real life love story. I would have loved to talk to them about their relationship, for story inspiration, and have Patrick teach me some dance moves!
Anything coming from you in the future we should mark down?
I have a contemporary erotic romance, a Phaze Rocks titled “Flesh for Fantasy” due out February 2010. A very sexy story, about fantasies and trust.
For Fun: If you were a super heroine, what would your name be and would you wear tights and a cape?
I had made up my own heroine when I was younger called “Cattress” which was a spin off on Cat Woman. She had a black cape and mask, and a slinky black catsuit. If I were her, I would definitely wear them, as I prowled around saving the world…
Thanks and looking forward to having you as a guest on my blog.
Thank you Raine, for taking the time to interview me!
Sneak Peek into Demon of Desire:
Sarah squinted to see the large, looming form of the mystery man from the night before. How had he gotten inside her bedroom? Her apartment was up on the fourth floor, and anyone needed to pass security to enter downstairs. She started to tremble.
This can’t be happening! Am I dreaming?
”You’re not real…are you?” she said shakily.
“Why would you think that,” he replied silkily. “I am quite real to you, am I not?”
The room filled with preternatural light. He was dressed exactly as the night before, down to the white mask hiding part of his face.
“Yes, but…” she breathed. The covers drifted off the bed, leaving her exposed in her silk nightgown. They had moved of their own accord. Was he real? A hallucination? A ghost of some kind?
“Why–why are you here?”
“We’re not finished from the night before.”
In spite of her fear, a heat ignited inside Sarah. The stranger took a step towards her, moving with an easy, feral grace. Her body leaned towards his as the distance closed rapidly between them. Her nipples were tight and drawn out, as though reaching for him. They stood out in sharp relief against the silk of her gown. The lips of her sex swelled with his approach.
Sarah’s nightgown slipped off her shoulders as though unseen hands stripped the garment away. Towering over her now, he took her small hands in his, raising her up to stand in front of him. His movements caused the nightgown to puddle on the floor at her feet.
This wasn’t possible. It must be a dream or something. But if he wasn’t real how was this happening? His lips were so full, curved in a dangerous smile, teeth gleaming.
“How are you doing these things?” she asked tremulously. “Who are you?”
Sarah usually covered her nakedness but his dark gaze mesmerized her, compelled her to expose herself to him. Heat continued to sear through her, quelling some of the panic.
“I have so many names.” His finger traced her jaw lightly, voice sounding jaded and amused.
“Are you a ghost––or something?”
“I am what you need …and what you asked for.”
Sarah trembled as he tipped her face up to his and devoured her lips in a consuming kiss. She arched against him helplessly as his hands explored her body. On fire, she no longer cared who or what this man was. Only that he was her lover––her perfect, mystery lover.

Hi Chloe,
Thanks for being here and copngrats. on the new release. It looks to be a cool story. What inspired it?
Raine D.
Thanks Raine!
I think when I thought of a true alpha, I wanted him larger than life…really larger than life! So I made him a demon who can do just about anything. And surprise, there may be another hero as well…hmm…double the fun!
There are some threads in the story with the heroine about being confidence and self esteem, which for women, I think is a good message for all of us. I know I have to remind myself about being positive and believing in yourself, I think it’s universal. But probably why readers will want to read it too, is for the sexy love scenes..lol, I had a lot of fun writing it.
Thanks so much for interviewing me Raine!
