If I were a Lady by Bryl R. Tyne

Hotter than the 4th of July!

In just two and a half short weeks, July fourth will be upon us. Backyard get-togethers with families and friends, the barbeques, the pool parties, the fireworks—especially, the fireworks, at least for me. Something else though, as with any hoorah of “holiday”, eBook publishers scramble to release themed books. Readers seem to love these quirky shorts. Just so happens, Val and Kendra have an Independence Day release this year—in more ways than one. In light of this, I have invited Principal Val Riche to join us for an interview. Read on.

Bryl: Welcome, Principal Riche. I’m so happy you could join us today, as are the readers.

Val: Thank you, Bryl.

Bryl: Before we move onto business, readers would like to know—Why Kendra?

Val: Why not? She’s perfect in my eyes.

Bryl: Well, yes. I understand that, but why the attraction? Why are you, Val, attracted to T-girls in the first place, as you stated in your first book?

Val: Excuse me? I was under the impression we would be discussing the upcoming release of Val & Kendra: Ignited.

Bryl: We’ll get to that. First though, the readers tell me, they find you mysterious. They’re perplexed with your attraction. They want to know what turns you on.

Val: You’re serious.

Bryl: Yes. Entirely, Val. I’ve been bombarded with letter after letter from our fans, begging me to get these answers from you.

Val: What if I told you, I’d rather not go there?

Bryl: Oh Val, please. Look, the readers are dying to know what makes you tick. I’ll get on my knees and—

Val: No. No, that’s quite all right. I’ve no interest in men.

Bryl: But, technically, isn’t Kendra a—

Val: NO! Kendra is a woman. One of the finest, might I add.

Bryl: Some might argue.

Val: I don’t care what others think. You want to know why I find Kendra attractive? Do you?

Bryl: I think, I’m the one asking the questions here.

Val: Kendra is confident and beautiful. She knows what she wants out of life—such a tenacious spirit. But most of all, she is tenderhearted, despite her outer “tough girl” act.

Bryl: Tough girl’s an understatement. I’m sorry, but Kendra comes off as a bitch most times.

Val: She just wants to be loved! Like anyone else. Do you understand what she’s gone through in this—?

Bryl: Val. Please. I’m not trying to upset you.

Val: Then I suggest you get to the reason you asked me here if you don’t mind.

Bryl: Yeah. Sure. Fine. You and Kendra have a new short story set to be released July fourth.

Val: Yes, that is correct.

Bryl: Care to give the readers a sneak peak? I heard this one’s got a bit of “kink” to it?

Val: You have no problem saying what’s on your mind, do you?

Bryl: Can’t say that I’ve ever been accused of being shy, no.

Val: I know you mean well, Bryl, but I’m uncomfortable with these questions. If you don’t mind, I have appointments to keep. Have a good day.

Bryl: But, Val…Mr. Riche—Val! Oh, forget it…I’ll intro their new story myself. Sheesh.

Fireworks in Orlando—the crowds, Val’s attitude, Florida’s humidity…will Kendra survive the heat? When public make-up sex inside the prop room of a local art studio turns into an excursion into mind-blowing group sex, Val’s set to show Kendra fireworks like she’s never experienced!

Val & Kendra: Ignited

Nice interview Bryl. I love the way you shot the questions at Val. Too bad he didn’t want to answer the questions that all the readers would like to know. LOL

Oh well, maybe next time he will be in a different frame of mind LOL

Thanks, Bo. He was such the prude this morning! Private person, my ass. You’ve seen the way he and Kendra go at it in their stories. Whatever. I’m not through with him. I can assure you. :)

Oh, that Val. He’s not one to be tricked into answering any old question is he.

I’m glad you’re not through with him. Inquiring minds…

    Hi Bryl and everyone,

Thanks for coming by and now with this little teases interview I am dying to see how Val is in one of his books. *grins*

So did you model Val after anyone you knew or is he all imagination?

Oh Raine…you would have to ask, wouldn’t you? LOL Truth? Val has the patience of my SO, my sex drive & tastes, and his ethnicity and looks were derived from a man who would’ve been my father–given my mother had made different choices decades ago. Whew…

Answer your questions? Hope so ;)

Perhaps a few Mimosa’s for Val next time Bryl. Maybe that’ll loosen his tongue!

  7. Katie Dupuie on June 16th, 2009 7:57 pm

Maybe if you interviewed him in a broom closet, you have gotten more out of him. *BG*

I can’t wait to see what happens next, Bryl.

You guys are too much! Ethan, Val has a public reputation to uphold, don’t think your suggestion would work. Though, I do often wonder WTF is going through his mind when he lets Kendra get to him!

And Katie, you nailed it. Val is rather fond of sex in tight places ;)

    lmao!
